OUR STORY
Eyes Up started with a simple moment.
I mentor a group of high school boys in my community. At a summer camp, we were walking together between sessions.
Along with about 2000+ other kids - most looking down at their phones.
At one point, a couple of them literally ran into me. Shoulder to shoulder. Not paying attention.
I yelled, “Hey, eyes up!”
And I couldn’t shake it.
The more I paid attention, the more I saw it everywhere.
Kids standing at bus stops — together, but completely disconnected. Families sitting at restaurants — everyone on a screen. Moments that could have become something meaningful… wasted.
I just kept thinking ... What are we missing? What conversations aren’t happening? What relationships never start? What moments are we trading for something that won’t matter tomorrow?
Eyes Up was born from that tension.
Not because phones are bad — because life is better when we’re fully present.
Better conversations. Stronger relationships.
More awareness of the people and world around us.
Not by rejecting technology — by choosing presence when it matters most.
